A great example of how our widespread connections can forge new international business partnerships: we were approached by a successful Omani entrepreneur interested in establishing a franchise of an American retail store in Oman – he had tried many times to contact the American headquarters, but with no response.
By applying our US presence and knowledge of the American business system, we were able to contact the decision-makers at the American company directly, and share with them information on the Omani market and the interested entrepreneur. The company was extremely interested; we arranged and participated in phone conferences with both parties, and when the American company sent a representative to Oman to meet with the Omani partner and tour the market, we attended meetings to help things run smoothly, and put together an itinerary of meetings and tours of the retail market to help the American representative make productive use of his time in Oman.
